This is Awful, terrible news, i just hope as many as possible have got out or been rescued.
How the fuck in this day and age, with all the building and safety regulations with escape stairs etc has this happened, particularly after the twin towers 16 years ago.

This is going to be grim, desperate stuff
Place has a strong Muslim community and what with Ramadan, correspondent was saying that many would have been up on the feast phase - so may have been able to move quickly
But the speed with which that tower caught fire suggests hideous casualities
Fuck, just said that kids have been flung from windows and that there are bodies covered upon the floor

Truly and absolutely terrible in every way, as someone below has written I hope as many as possible and even less possible were able to flee the building.
God help those left inside, it would be miraculous if no deaths come out of that building.

I saw a video of people calling out for help from the building. I thought the voices were of young women and wondered why they didn't sound completely terrified, but then I realised that it was probably the voices of kids who had no idea how much danger they were in. Terrible.

My god! Gut wrenching stuff
I noticed a number of towers close buy all of the same design. If Fire can rip through that one that quickly the others will be the same. They will have to condemn them or evacuate and modernise asap
I'm really struggling to see how the fire could rip through multiple floors so quickly? Whoever built these in the 60s or whenever cut a lot of corners. Whoever manages these now is negligent. Building shouldn't burn like that

Eye witness accounts suggesting that the building, recently having had a major refurb', had cladding installed to improve it's look and it was that which escalated the fire.

Reading the greenfell action group blog , it is quite militant. I do hope nobody did anything to try and prove a point. Fire is rarely controllable.
